Project Type: Major Urban Rail / Monorail Project
An international rail project is seeking an experienced MEP & Rail Systems Construction Manager to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and railway systems on a large‑scale urban transit project. The role is site‑based in Egypt and requires immediate availability or short notice.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP and railway systems across the project.Manage system interfaces and coordinate between multiple contractors and stakeholders.Oversee systems including (but not limited to):Power supply and distribution (LV & HV)Ventilation and fire protection systemsRolling Stock interfacesSCADA systemsTrain operation and supervision systemsAutomatic Fare Collection (AFC)Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications, safety standards, and programme requirements.Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities through to project completion.Act as the primary technical authority on site for MEP and rail systems matters.Candidate RequirementsDegree qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.Extensive experience in Metro, Transit, or Monorail projects, ideally on international assignments.Proven background in supervising installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP and railway systems.Strong experience coordinating multidisciplinary system interfaces.Previous experience in a similar role on large‑scale rail or transit projects is essential.Monorail experience is highly desirable.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, site‑based environment with tight delivery timelines.Package & BenefitsNet monthly salary: €7,500 - €7,750Accommodation providedAnnual return international flightIncome tax covered locallyThe position is urgent, and interviews are expected to take place promptly
